Qualalacq™ 275 VOC compliant Lacquer (Alcohol Resistant)
Behlen’s top of the line Clear Nitrocellulose lacquer, is highly resistant to the strongest of alcohols, water, moderate heat,
and abrasion impact. It is highly scratch resistant after a week's cure time.
This Nitrocellulose based lacquer forms a hard film designed to take punishment that would normally ruin other lacquers.
It may be used on tabletops, and other applications that require
a tough finish. The Qualalacq™ Sanding Sealer and
Qualalacq™ Thinner are recommended for use in conjunction with Qualalacq™ Lacquers for the best results.
Apply in light, even coats of no more than 3-4 wet mils.

Vinyl Sanding Sealer
Vinyl Sanding Sealer develops an excellent moisture barrier
for the wood substrate, while providing a good base coat
for all Behlen lacquer finishes.
Vinyl Sealer is offered in a ready to use formulation
that needs no further reduction or catalyst.
Required for use under the Behlen Stringed Instrument Lacquer.

NOTE: Vinyl Sealer may be applied over raw wood
or filled and stained substrates.

Qualalacq™ Lacquer Reducer .(Lacquer Thinner)
A special blend of solvents formulated for thinning
nitrocellulose lacquers.
Use to thin Qualalacq™ Sanding Sealer, Vinyl Sealer, Qualalacq™ Lacquers, and Stringed Instrument Lacquer.
Thinner improves flow of lacquers and adjusts viscosity for the spray equipment used.
(Avoid using more than 15 % by volume of the lacquer)

Wet Film Thickness Gauge
Most catalyzed and newer compliant coatings specify a maximum wet film application
and total thickness build. Use the gauge to avoid finish failure from over-building a coating. This notch-type gauge is used measure the thickness of the wet finish film immediately after application. Place the gauge squarely on the, freshly coated surface, withdraw, and read the wet coating thickness directly from the wetted steps.
Measure in mils, (1-80 mils), or (microns) on the opposite side (25-2032 microns). - Conforms to ASTM D713 & D4414. - Made in the USA. --- To: Instructions for Use

Qualalacq™ Lacquer Retarder .(Prevents Lacquer Blushing)
A balanced blend of special solvents that is added to lacquer to help prevent blushing,
(the white fog look) which results from moisture retention in the lacquer finish.
When relative humidity is 50% or higher, Retarder should be added to lacquer.
Any amount added, should be deducted from the thinner ratio. (DO NOT Over Use)

Flattener .(Reduces the Sheen of a Lacquer Finish)
This transparent liquid flatting agent additive reduces the sheen of lacquer finishes.
One quart of Gloss finish requires 4 ounces of Flattener to convert it to a Flatt finish.
For a Satin Sheen, add only 2 ounces of Flattener to each quart of Gloss lacquer.
Use a flatted finish as a Top-Coat ONLY to maintain finish clarity.
Build the finish with gloss lacquer after a coat of sanding sealer.

Fisheye Flow Out (Eliminates Fisheye Craters)
This special additive is used to assist in the prevention of fisheyes
(craters formed in the lacquer film) due to the presence of silicone contamination.
Just add a few drops to lacquer and fisheyes are eliminated. AVOID over use.
Packaged in a handy dropper bottle.
